HL4EU Project Consortium Holds Productive Second Partner Meeting on Key Milestones

On 14 June 2024, the HL4EU project consortium convened for its second partner meeting, held online, where participants discussed several key milestones and expressed enthusiasm for upcoming events.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the review of the initial workstream dedicated to policy and position development, focusing on the recently launched Call for Action on "Enabling Cross-Sectoral Approaches for Healthy Lifestyles in Europe." The Call for Action has already garnered support from various organisations, and partners expressed their strong commitment to continue driving this critical initiative forward. All stakeholders committed to the cause are invited to endorse the Call here.

Additionally, the meeting marked the official start of Phase 2 of the project, concentrating on gathering knowledge, collecting examples of good practices in cross-sectoral collaborations for healthy lifestyle promotion, and engaging with dedicated stakeholders. The team discussed and finalised the criteria for identifying good practices, which will guide partners in their initial desk research efforts. Central to the discussions was the brainstorming of a good practice platform's design, envisioned as a hub for stakeholders to collaborate on cross-sectoral approaches to healthy lifestyles.

The consortium also brainstormed the format and design for the upcoming Community Building Conference on Tuesday 5 November 2024. This will be the first project event, dedicated to advancing the project's vision, mission, and objectives. The conference will seek to expand support for the Call for Action and will feature a panel discussion on cross-sectoral approaches to promoting healthy lifestyles and identifying the necessary steps to drive this action forward. Stay tuned for details on the event coming soon!

We want to express a heartfelt thank you to all the partners for their continued collaboration and dedication: EuropeActive, Greek Carers Network (EPIONI), European Initiative for Exercise in Medicine (EIEIM), European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA), European Network of Outdoor Sports (ENOS), Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), It’s Great Out There Coalition (IGOTCo), and POLIS network.
