The aim of the initiative was to transform the traditional Panhellenic Climbing Meeting into an open, community-centered event that promotes physical activity, health, and social inclusion.
Outcome
Outcome
By expanding participation beyond registered climbers to include families, youth, and residents of Kalampaka, the event sought to inspire a culture of active living, connect people through outdoor activities, and strengthen community ties around sport, nature, and wellbeing.
The event successfully brought together over 500 participants from across Greece, including hundreds of children who experienced climbing for the first time.
It fostered collaboration among local authorities, sports organizations, and the community, turning Meteora into a living example of active tourism and healthy lifestyle promotion.
As a result, the initiative strengthened community engagement, enhanced local identity, promoted health and wellness, and positioned Kalampaka as a hub for outdoor and active living.
