Aim

These initiatives aim to transform traditional schoolyards, often paved and uninspiring, into greener, more natural, and more active spaces. This involves adding natural features such as gardens, trees, play areas with natural elements (rocks, logs), outdoor classrooms, and innovative play equipment. The goal is to encourage spontaneous physical activity, connection with nature, and experiential learning, by creating stimulating environments that foster children's holistic development.

Outcome

Outcome

Significant increase in physical activity among students, improved air quality and thermal comfort in schoolyards, increased local biodiversity, creation of opportunities for hands-on learning, and development of community hubs. Children are more engaged and creative in their play.
