Aim
The "Rando pour tous" initiative by En passant par la montagne, aims to make mountain hiking accessible to everyone, regardless of physical abilities or disabilities. The project strives to break down participation barriers by offering adapted routes, specialized equipment (all-terrain wheelchairs, Joƫlettes), and trained supervision to accompany people with reduced mobility or other specific needs. The goal is to allow everyone to enjoy the physical and mental benefits of the mountains, often perceived as an inaccessible environment.
Outcome
Outcome
Increased participation in inclusive mountain hiking, significant improvement in physical fitness, mental well-being, and social cohesion among participants. Feedback indicates greater autonomy and a sense of accomplishment among individuals who otherwise would not have been able to access these environments. The project also helps raise public awareness about the importance of accessibility in natural spaces.
