Aim

The "Trimm-Dich-Pfad" is a network of outdoor fitness trails found in forests, parks, and green spaces across Germany. These courses typically feature various stations with instructions for exercises (e.g., pull-ups, sit-ups, balance beams) using natural elements or simple wooden equipment. 19The concept originated in the 1970s as part of a national campaign to promote physical fitness, and many courses have been modernized and adapted to current standards, offering free and accessible infrastructure for outdoor exercise.

Outcome

Outcome

Increased physical activity levels, improved public health, and increased use of green spaces for recreation. These trails have become popular meeting places for families, runners, walkers, and training groups, contributing to a culture of outdoor physical activity.
