Outcome
Outcome
In 82% of the intervention preschools, an increase in a rise in the physical activity of children was achieved through the restructuring or more intensive use of the premises, more physical education lessons, and greater child participation in organizing their physical activity.
In the post-intervention phase, the percentage of children who brought fresh fruit and/or vegetables to the preschool increased by 7%, and whole-grain bread by 10% (both p<0.001). The percentage of children who brought Milchschnitte (a sweetened milk and biscuit bar) was reduced by 5%, and soft drinks by 3% (both p=0.014). The percentage of preschool teachers using the nutrition pyramid in their daily work increased by 40.3% in the intervention group.
