Aim
The Interreg Aurora project "NATUREACH" focuses on nature-based interventions (NBIs) for vulnerable patient groups in the Nordic countries. This innovative project tests personalized, digital, and in-person nature-based service models, offering multi-sensory experiences adapted to clients' specific needs and preferences. The goal is to use the natural environment as a therapeutic tool for activation and rehabilitation, especially for people facing social, mental, or physical challenges, such as individuals with developmental disabilities, eating disorders, diabetes patients, or those in palliative care.
Outcome
Outcome
Piloting five digital nature-based service models and one for healthcare professionals. The project measures effects using various methods, including field observations, surveys, and physiological measures (heart rate variability, blood sugar levels). Early feedback from participants and professionals is very positive, highlighting improved well-being and quality of life.
