Outcome
Outcome
Engaged 11 European partner organisations and supported 4 pilot cities with tailored Active City implementation.
Reached hundreds of municipalities across Europe through surveys, tools, events, and dissemination activities.
Collected 600+ municipal survey responses informing the evidence base on local physical activity policy and governance.
Delivered one shared operational framework (Matrix for Change) used to assess and guide Active City policies across sectors.
Identified that around 70% of surveyed municipalities report having some form of physical activity policy, highlighting both progress and gaps.
Convened European-level policymakers, city leaders, and practitioners through transnational meetings and a final conference.
Established a transferable model and network enabling continued uptake of Active City approaches beyond the project lifespan.
