Aim
To undertake educational and research-implementation activities aimed at changing the lifestyle and improving the health of modern society through regular physical activity during pregnancy and after childbirth. The initiative was taken by The Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport (GUPES), Poland, in partnership with universities and research institutions from around the world, as well as entities bringing together various stakeholders from the areas of exercise and sports, education and medicine, including the Exercise is Medicine Poland Foundation, the European College of Sport Science (ECSS), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Together we organize a series of webinars and events with the participation of the best experts, practitioners and researchers. The culmination point will be the Global Active Mother’s Day, during which science will be translated into practice in the form of various exercise classes for pregnant and postpartum women in many countries around the world.
