Establish a central hub for outdoor activities, connecting the city of Silkeborg with its surrounding natural landscapes.

Trailcenter Silkeborg is noways a centerpiece for physical activity, bringing together private individuals, clubs and associations, schools, and senior centers.


Increased Access to Outdoor Activities: The center provides a range of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and running. It aims to promote outdoor sports and physical activity among locals and visitors, creating a hub for nature-based recreation.


Improvement in Local Tourism: The initiative is part of Silkeborg's broader strategy to become Denmark's "Outdoor Capital." The development of the trail center is intended to attract tourists and increase outdoor-related tourism in the region.


Community Engagement: The center has facilities that encourage community involvement, such as bike service stations, changing rooms, and a social lounge area. These amenities are designed to attract people of all ages and abilities, fostering a sense of belonging and active participation​.


Support for Physical Health: The development of various trails is designed to provide opportunities for people to engage in physical activities that promote health and well-being. It is expected to improve local physical fitness levels by offering diverse, accessible outdoor activities​.


Environmental Sustainability: The center supports an eco-friendly approach, with trails integrated into Silkeborg's natural landscape, encouraging environmental appreciation and conservation.
