WalkingBus: Combining Safety, Fun, and Physical Activity

Successful promotion of active commuting to school as a healthier option for children, while also helping to reduce traffic congestion. A comprehensive collection of 15 walking bus case studies, including examples from Greece, Italy, Türkiye, other European countries, and beyond. A practical guide developed through literature review and co-creation workshops in Greece, Italy, and Türkiye. A series of training seminars conducted in each partner country, either in person or online, to prepare volunteers for their roles in the walking bus initiative. Policy recommendations aimed at stakeholders to promote the implementation of walking bus activities.
